As someone who grew up on the Jersey side of the river, in the shadow of Manhattan, I have very particular ideas about what is "real" pizza, and Nick's is the real deal.

Absolutely delish! Super friendly staff! I got a pineapple pizza with extra cheese, and it was utterly fabulous! Also they're fries are not to be missed! Good all around!

Went here for lunch during what appeared to be a slow period as there was almost no one else there. The service was incredibly slow and there was an incredibly long hair baked into the garlic bread I bit into (nothing like biting o to food and seeing a piece of hair out of your mouth connected to your food ). Although they replaced the rolls, they did not see surprised or apologetic beyond that. Needless to say I will never be back.

Love this place!! Pizza is just like NY pizza. Everyone is so nice that works there. Best pizza in the area

I was going to give this place a four star rating but the fact that ranch is the default condiment to accompany the home made fries made me rate this place a 5 star. I had the chicken parmesean and it was flawless, literally. I also couldn't say anything bad at all about the service, the bar tender recommended a few great options and was very friendly. If you're in a hurry they bring the food out quickly which helped me out because I was on my lunch break.

Order yourself a fresh made pie, and it's seriously delicious. Great crust, sauce, cheese, and veggies. And to top that off, the pizzas are incredibly well priced. It's worth noting they deliver, which I didn't realize. Its easy to get to though and there is plenty of parking around city hall in the evening. Garlic rolls and pies are premade then reheated, which makes them a little less wonderful than the fresh pizza. Good, solid, but not amazing. The fresh pizza us where its at here.

Decided to try this place. Glad I did! Got a large pie and it was cooked well and tasted fresh. Also got 4 garlic rolls. Very good and for 15$ delivered. Thank You.

Ordered a large pizza, chicken tenders and fries for delivery. We live about 2.5 miles away from Nicks. Total came to about $21. Was told it would take about 50 minutes to get here, but considering it is a Saturday night, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because it took 1 1/2 hours. Food was good, pizza was warm when we got it. Overall, will order from again.

I called this place about a week ago because the reviews look good and the Yelp link for their menu said 2 large pies for $11.99. However the guy that answered the phone says that's not our menu. I asked where can I go online to look at the menu. He says 'Google it". But I did when you said that so which link is it.? I don't know he says. WTF. Either they are too busy to care and/or internet illiterate. I wanted to try it but they don't care.......

Coming from NY, I have high expectations for my Italian take out. This place does not disappoint. We have always had delivery or pick up and the food is always on time or early. We're big fans of sausage/veggie pizza combos and eggplant dishes. We've had different varieties of both and can say that the veggies are fresh, the meat savory and the bread fluffy and delicious. Their pizza or rolls always have a great crispiness to them, but are never burned or over cooked. The mozzarella is gooey but never too heavy, so there's always a nice balance. True to the Italian sauces I've encountered in NY and in Rome, the tomato sauce always smells sweet and isn't overly vinegar-y like many pizza restaurants down here. The prices are also very fair, especially for being so close to the Boca/ Deerfield border. This place is definitely the best pizza place we've found in the region.

The pizza here is great. I like the size because then I can eat more. I also love adding red pepper and Oregano on it. It tastes delicious! I recommend this restaurant.

At work my boss and I decided on pasta so we tried this place. I have to say the meatballs were one of the best I've ever had that weren't made in my family's kitchen. The garlic knots were huge and delicious. Everything was fresh. The pasta was made right, not to hard not to soft. The sauce was light in a good way, it wasn't to acidic or greasy! The staff there was very nice and helpful and vey accommodating. The restaurant was cute and clean. They have the best prices within a 2 mile range, at least from what I found. I highly recommend coming here. My entire office is now ordering from there after they all tasted it! Thanks nicks!

Found this place on Yelp when I happen to be in the area. Awesome pizza. Even though it's a distance from my hotel, I'll be driving back. Slices are HUGE. Enjoy.

Nick's is a Deerfield Beach-gem, popular with the locals year round. Most famous for their calzones, if you haven't had one, you should. They also have great slices of tomatoe pie at very reasonable prices. If you are not a local, ask about the lunch specials and the stafff will take care of you. Nick's is to "Italian" what "Pop's Seafood" is to seafood in Deerfield Beach. If you understand the reference, then give it a try....

I hate to whack a place with one star, especially a small business, but I am really growing tired of rude/bad service. I checked out the menu on yelp and called in to order a pizza. The girl that answered the phone could not have sounded less pleased to be there, the only word out of her mouth was a monotone "Nick's". No greeting whatsoever. No thank you for calling. No introducing herself. No how may I help you. I proceeded to do her job for her and let her know I'd like to order a pizza to pick up to which she replied "what do you want" . So far so bad, but not unacceptable until I ordered the "Nick's Gourmet" pizza off the menu. You would have thought I ordered a Big Mac the way she reacted. "What? Gourmet Pizza? What's that?" I'm sitting there thinking what do you mean what's "nicks gourmet pizza" it's your freaking menu, when I hear a man in the background tell her I must be looking at the menu online. When I heard that I told her I was looking at the menu online, to which she very rudely replied " that's not our menu". No apologies, no menu recommendation, no attempt to help me whatsoever, just cold uncomfortable silence. I had had enough at that point and asked her if she knew whose menu it was, I could order from there instead. She didn't know that either. I asked to speak to the manager but she hung up on me instead. Oh well, instead of driving past 10 pizza spots to try nicks I ended up getting Zuccarellis. They lost a sale and got a bad review. Nicks needs to grow up, perhaps spending the $100.00 it costs to have a website these days would be a good start. They certainly need to train the staff in customer service. Perhaps a class field trip to chic fil'a or pdq is in order for these kids....

The best pizza in the area competing with Primati Bros. and Doughboys for best pizza in Broward. Although Nick probably does come in third when compared to those two. Nice family owned and operated Pizzeria typical of the kind that used to be everyone a decade or two ago and are now getting rare. The kind with really good pizza that is. I agree that sometimes the service can be spotty if you are eating in. If you expect to be waited on you might get to feel forgotten about sometimes. Thankfully this is one of those places where if you need anything you can go to the counter and ask anyone and they will get whatever you need. As take out, it's damn hard to beat.

Nick's is so close to perfection. They have great deals, fantastic pizza and subs and excellent service. When I say their pizza is great I mean if you put a slice on your head your tongue'd eat your brains trying to get to it. Also love their zipollis, chewy fried dough melted sugar heaven. My only complaint is that this is a super tiny pizzeria and they get super congested around dinner time if you're eating in or getting take out. I really would recommend getting take out if only because nothing beats hot out of the oven goodness.

Great pizza and garlic rolls! The giant stromboli tasted like homemade mozzarella was unsude with real sausage and not just crumbles. Prices are fair and portions big!

The pizza at Nick's is hot, greasy, cheap, and delicious. If you are looking for upscale, gourmet, coal-fired pizza there are plenty of other options out there. But if you want a bustling, local, pizzeria with great pizza, then Nick's is your place.

we went to nicks for a large pizza with half green pepper onion and ground beef the other half with only pepperoni. the woman comes up and says we have a problem. the guy made my pizza with all green peppers.. we told her Well a few green peppers is OK. that was my biggest mistake I should have them make it or because that's not what I ordered. the pizza came in oh my god there are hundreds of green peppers and they were dark dark green. they were wet soggy in there were so many on there we peel them off at least 4 inches to 6 inches high.. I asked the lady is there a lot of green peppers on there and are those fresh and she merely smirked. it turns out that these are frozen green peppers. I believe the onions were frozen too because the pizza was completely soggy and wet all the way to the bottom of the pizza. we should have stopped eating and actually we did and she avoids us and did not come over and refill are cokes.. she saw the huge pile of green peppers but avoided our cable finally I asked for the check she said would you like to take the rest of pizza home we actually laughed and said no way. she said you didn't like the pizza I said it was terrible it would look at all the green peppers on ...it was soggy wet... and she said okay thank you that'll be 2299!!! I sense that the service is going to be poor when I walked in and looked pretty bad for just the four people that were in there either the people think this place is good because they really don't know pizza we just got a piece of crap pizza that time. will never come back. I'm sure they really don't care just losing a customer to after all this. They will say they are successfully been in business for many many years so you really could care less. the lady who ever she was really should have offered that pizza for free or drinks or something. if this was a franchise they would have made it right. being it was owned they probably could care less. so when she said we have a problem I should have said yeah you have a problem make my pizza the way I ordered it. so much for being accommodating and nice. frozen green peppers?

Came here yesterday after playing tennis in the nearby park..hungry as wolfs, the reviews got us pretty exited! And boy, this pizza was amazing! Hands down the best pizza I've had in the area. Fresh and rich toppings, great dough and nice people. This is a great family owned restaurant! Check it out!

First time being there it was empty so I was a little concerned but after getting my food I was surprised with the pizza size, especially for the price. After eating I was happy with my meal (2 slices of cheese and a drink) and the cost which actually seemed to be too low but it was fine with me!! Would defiantly go again!

First time there, and I'll be back for sure. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and the menu was pretty simple. I had a sub with chicken parmigiana and it was delicious! Seriously, it had that familiar "made at home" flavor that I really like. Price wise, it was pretty spot on for what I go. I should mention that the pizza slices are HUGE!!! Overall, four stars. Lost one star because I was not blown away.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
